About the Team
The team acts as a key partner to the business, supporting Asset Management's end-to-end investment process from deal origination to post-investment monitoring and reporting. Support is heavily skewed towards private markets, specifically private debt, private equity and real estate. The team are also responsible for P&L reviews, data quality and consistency, qualitative and quantitative assessments of external asset managers, contribute to materials for decision making bodies, and drive efficiency and automation.
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned team leader to oversee a talented pool of investment analysts based in Bratislava. The role reports directly to the Head Middle Office Public & Private Markets, based in Zürich and works with stakeholders across the globe.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the team through day-to-day delivery, removing blockers and steering toward successful outcomes
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to teammates
- Identify growth opportunities, coach team members, and foster continuous learning and development
- Build and promote a positive, inclusive working environment across your team and the business areas you engage with
- Partner closely with clients and stakeholders, guided by the objectives of Asset Management
- Drive continuous improvement for yourself, your team, and systems. Propose and implement better ways of working
- Embrace modern tools and AI to improve efficiency and quality
- Adapt support in response to business needs and changing environments
- Ensure team deliverables are executed with precision and timeliness
- Stakeholder management, priority setting and team representation
- Design and implement solutions in response to client requests
About You
- You have a university degree, preferably in economics, finance, banking, investments or business administration
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience in the financial industry
- Proven experience managing and building high-performing teams; strong influencing skills with the ability to persuade without creating conflict
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with team members and key stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- A good understanding of tools and techniques that leverage automation and AI to drive efficienc
- Ability to translate business initiatives into clear, actionable strategies
- Personal accountability and task ownership
- Some travel to the other Swiss Re locations may be requird
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3200 and EUR 5300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
