Job Purpose
The Senior Operation Specialist reports to the Head of Japan GS&PS and will be a key member of the GS&PS leadership team.  This Specialist will lead transformation change by aligning GS&PS sourcing and procurement strategy for the Japan region.  This Specialist will be responsible for the deployment and adoption of sourcing tools, such as Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, SAP, etc. to minimize spend outside of approved buying channels through close partnership with the category leads to help execute category strategies within the region.  The Senior Operation Specialist will also be responsible for supporting the productivity leader and process and tools leader for the deployment of process optimization, simplification, cost reduction, and enforcement of and adherence to corporate policies and processes regarding acquisition of vendor products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve on the GS&PS leadership team reporting into the Head of Japan GS&PS.
- Serve as a domain expert and business consultant to lead GS&PS transformation.  Align the business with key technologies to ensure the company considering of innovation and solutions that will drive continued improvements.
- Be an agent of transformation in the source to pay modules of Ariba and Fieldglass and processes by working broadly across the organization.
- Act as an enabling function to support horizontal initiatives for category and business partner to drive cost reduction and compliance.  Support core business processes by providing required inputs, information, and tools.
- Manage all procurement-related platforms and teams - global deployment of Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, data analytics applications, asset management, ERP applications, business analytics, etc.
- Accountable for execution of all aspects of functional architecture across the GS&PS operations in Japan and within the Corporate Functions.
- Establish strong relationships with key business partners, internal customers, and stakeholders to drive alignment to organizational and project related goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with AIG’s global policies.
- Under the direction of the productivity leader, refine and standardize processes, policies and practices consistent with Global Sourcing to institutionalize procurement best practices. 
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree
- Business English skill both Writing and Speaking (TOEIC score 900+ is preferred)
Specific Qualifications 
- None, but better to have some qualifications related to Network Security (such as CISSP).

- Effective in managing/influencing remote/virtual teams.
- Proponent and driver of Change Management within all levels of AIG.  Ability to solicit inputs and incorporate feedback to strengthen our programs.
- Collaborate and influence cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders to drive change and deliver on Transformation and Continuous Improvement vision and objectives.
- Strong project management skills focused on customer experience.
- BA/BS degree in business, IT, engineering, or supply chain required; graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience.
