Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
The salary range for this role is between $64,000-$105,500.
Your New Role:
For all lines of business:
Utilize expertise by navigating the sourcing function to narrow applicant pool and ensure recommended candidates meet assigned managers' hiring needs and business requirements
Manage end-to-end talent acquisition process for assigned managers by sourcing, screening and recommending candidates to build effective talent pipelines through proactive recruiting techniques
Serve as a resource to candidates by managing salary negotiations and informing them of the hiring process to ensure regular communication of employment opportunities and to foster interest in working for the organization
Deliver quality service to recruitment leader by providing quality candidates that are engaged with the position and ready to proceed in the assessment process
Assist with identifying opportunities for continuous improvement by escalating sourcing and recruitment issues to upper-level team members to ensure department adheres to industry best practices
Optimize external network by maintaining highly visible profile in the market and fostering on-going communication with prospective candidates and industry thought leaders to share information and build organizational reputation for excellence
Additional responsibilities for technology focused recruiters:
Knowledgeable in cutting edge technologies, and be able to explain and discuss complex technology in simple terms
Working knowledge of technical job descriptions and the ability to screen and recommend candidates that are qualified for open roles
Understanding of the technology marketplace and experience sourcing and engaging with passive talent
Additional responsibilities for executive focused recruiters:
Experience identifying and engaging with executive talent, sourcing high level individuals, assessing talent, and relationship management skills
Identify and move high-potential internal talent
Write up candidate profiles and present them to the decision-making senior executive team
Maintain a pipeline of high potential talent in the industry, build in industry relationships, and build the company’s succession plan
Additional responsibilities for campus focused recruiters:
Organize and participate in recruiting events with diversity, industry and/or discipline specific campus organizations including career fairs, info sessions, lectures, online chats and other campus activities (virtually and in-person)
Build and enhance relationships with campus career centers, faculty, student organizations, community-based organizations and diversity associations
Plan and implement office internships, new graduate programs and QBE hosted diversity recruiting events
Support and manage the summer internship and new graduate program
Required Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
5 years relevant experience
Build and establishing constructive and cooperative working relationships and open lines of communication
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Maintain confidentiality of private or sensitive information
Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication
Motivational, inspirational and enthusiastic approach to team involvement and engagement
Understand customer needs and goals actively look for ways to meet them
Manage and prioritize competing responsibilities concurrently and effectively
Provide personalized and quality service to meet the expectations of internal and external customers
Clearly and confidently convey information to various audiences through speech and writing
Work independently with little supervision or direction
Intermediate understanding of principles and procedures for recruiting, interviewing and selecting talent
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements and affirmative action plan related to recruitment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and ability to create and edit documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
