Key Responsibilities:
Create/maintain excel workbooks to provide notice of loss and collateral release reports
Manage team of analysts and ensure that all duties and responsibilities are satisfactorily and timely met
Responsible for Treaty interpretation and coding of domestic and international treaties
Partner with the Ceded Re Placement Team to ensure reinsurance contracts can be fully operationalized
Responsible for oversight, process documentation and guideline creation for domestic and international treaties
Provides guidance on a continuous basis to Domestic and International Analysts
Work closely with the Finance Center staff to address and resolve claim related issues as they arise
Ensure SOX compliance by maintaining and monitoring diligent control framework
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with reinsurers, brokers and intercompany departments
Investigate/research requests or questions from internal customers
Review and approve manual billings to reinsurers
Create/maintain excel workbooks to provide notice of loss and collateral release reports as necessary
Work with Analytical teams (Actuarial, Accounting, IAG, etc.) to provide critical data as necessary
Support AIG Next and Reinsurance Target Operating Model and reinsurance governance (including SOX controls) initiatives as applicable
Key Deliverables (including reports):
Control Documentation for auditors
Notice of loss reports
Collateral release reports
Treaty reinsurance security lists and coding sheets
Treaty setup timely and accurate within SRM / e-treaty
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of reinsurance/insurance experience in claims and/or accounting
Basic understanding of general accounting fundamentals
Strong understanding of reinsurance and insurance concepts for all reinsurance types
Proficient with information technology, particularly Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Strong interpersonal skills and team orientated
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong analytical skills to quickly identify, gather and assess information
Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and intercompany departments
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Innovative thinker and creative problem solver
Self-starter and takes initiative
Knowledge of claims handling processes a plus
