Job Description: FP&A Analyst
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
This role is pivotal in delivering financial transparency, analytical depth, and insights across our insurance operations. By supporting planning, forecasting, and reporting processes and partnering closely with Underwriting and cross-functional teams the FP&A Analyst helps drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement. A strong focus on working with large volumes of data, critical thinking, and proactive reporting enhancements ensures the delivery of high-impact insights and the evolution of our financial tools and processes.
What will you do in this role?
Support the preparation and analysis of financial plans, forecasts, and performance reports across insurance portfolios for Premiums written and Expenses
Production of regular MI for Underwriting teams, working through and interpreting large datasets, ensuring utmost accuracy in reporting.
Develop and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility into key performance indicators (e.g., loss ratios, acquisition costs, operating expenses).
Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes, including automation and using tools such as Power BI
Deliver clear, actionable analysis on performance vs. plan and prior periods, translating data for onwards consumption.
Assist Underwriting and other Functions to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support initiatives.
Prepare materials for FP&A presentations to senior stakeholders, underwriting committees, and trading meetings.
Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data integrity and streamline reporting infrastructure.
