Clyde & Co is seeking a litigation associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our Irvine office. This practice is international in nature and represents overseas and domestic clients in commercial disputes and in sensitive investigations and government inquiries. This team handles matters across a variety of industries, with a particular emphasis in shipping and trade-related matters, including regulatory compliance and investigations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare pleadings and briefs
- Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients
- Attend depositions, hearings and mediations as required
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw
- Draft interrogatories and document demands
Essential Skills & Experience
- Admitted to practice in California, additional admissions a plus
- Federal court experience and maritime experience would be a plus, but not required
- Exceptional legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
- Bilingual in Korean a plus, but not required

The salary range for this position is $175,000-$200,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
